Achieving

We all see them: the people who seem to have it all. The dream life we so desperately wish to live and experience. We see he people going to the gym everyday, pushing themselves often. You may be that person. There is a drive, a motivation, a programming in that person’s mind that gets them towards achievement. It is more than action. Overcoming laziness from complacency and comfort is important. Doing is what will lead to the results. However, if you do not truly want something, or there is doubt existing withing you, self=sabotage starts to manipulate your actions. You start making time for other things, so you are unable to invest energy and your time towards what you want; or it is just what you think you want. If you really wanted it you would be doing what you can to get it, otherwise it is just something that would be convenience your life.

You ever meet someone who just will not shut up about something they seem so passion about and invested in? People who go to the gym or runners. I have a couple good friends who love it. They talk about it all the time. The right attire, the best diet that works for them, scheduling times to workout, everything. One will post her times and distance with pride. It is what they do. Because of their obsession, they are good at it. They invest time and effort into it, not just doing it. They live it, read on it, study it, discuss it with others who enjoy it, take notes on how to improve themselves. Let’s use another example. I love movies. I like analyzing films, studying the cinematography, how it was written, the context, etc. I write screenplays for fun. I have talks with friends who study film. That is fine, right? What about the people who just watch for fun?I am referring to those with nine-to-fives, and they want more, but instead gaze into a screen on their time off because it is easier. They then talk about what they watched when they get back to work and repeat. They occupy time only playing games without any other end goal.

So, I want you to see, successful people enjoying what they do will work to improve in that, and those passionate about their goals become obsessed with it, and do not take anything below their standards. They dream it, read about it, talk about it, live it. Is that what you are doing? Are you living that way, obsessed with what you enjoy, love and want? Maybe you are not sure of what you want. Maybe you know what you desire but lack motivation or discipline. Let’s figure out why. Actually, that may be the issue: you do not have a “why,” or strong enough one. That is what we will get into next episode.

Until then, remember: Potential Has No Limit.
